1What This Tool Never Collects

• Your Check My Status answers, your priority date, your country of birth, and your dates all stay inside your browser while you use the page. They are held in memory only. Nothing is written to a server, and nothing is sent anywhere.
• There is no account, no login, and no sign-up. You never hand over your name, your email, or your case details.
• When you close or refresh the tab, your answers are gone. There is no history to delete, because none was ever kept.

2What Is Stored on Your Device

A few small preferences are saved in your own browser using local storage. These never leave your device, and clearing your browser data removes them. Here is the complete list.

• gc_theme. Whether you chose the light, dark, or system color theme.
• gc_tour_seen and gc_tour_optout. A simple flag so the guided tour does not pop up again after you have seen it or dismissed it.
• gc_remember_bulletins and gc_vb_history. Saved only if you turn on the option to remember pasted Visa Bulletin cutoffs, which lets you see month-over-month changes. This stores the public cutoff dates from the bulletin. It never stores your own priority date.

That is everything. There is nothing else stored on your device, and none of it is transmitted.

3What the Page Loads From Elsewhere

• The page loads one community-chatter snapshot that is published with each update. It is public, it is read-only, and it sends nothing about you.
• The page loads a cookieless analytics counter (GoatCounter) that records anonymous, aggregate page views and a few fixed button events. It sets no cookies and never receives anything you typed. See the Analytics section below.
• Links to official pages, such as USCIS or the Visa Bulletin, open those sites directly. This tool never fetches the government pages on your behalf, and it never passes your information to them.

4Analytics

This tool uses one privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics service (GoatCounter) to count anonymous, aggregate usage: how many people view each page, and a few fixed button-level events (for example, that a status check was started, completed, or that a result was viewed). This exists only so the tool can be improved. It sets no cookies, does not follow you around the web, and does not build a profile of you.

None of your case details are ever sent. Your category, country, priority date, and every other answer stay in your browser, exactly as described above. The analytics only ever record fixed event names and the page address, never anything you typed.
